thanks. Auberge is no very much high-standard as we want to develop not deluxe but B&B and Apartment rental with character, we thought about Private homes or into french DEMEURES PRIVEES. One last question and I will stop bothering you.
will DEMEURES PRIVEES mean something for English and American travelers like RELAIS & CHATEAU do (well I suppose it does) ?

In the U.S., Inn means a quaint hotel. It usually means more upscale, more ambiance, nicer place.

I love "A Chez Nous" but something very similar already exists.

How about...
Sweet-Dreams-in-(Paris, Roma, etc.)
My House Your House
Chambres Charmants
Bijoux de Campagne
Bijoux de (Paris, Dordogne, Provence, etc.)
Comme Un Reve
French (Italian) Dream Stays
Hidden Charms (Des Charmes Cachés)
Bonne Adresse (bonnes adresses???)
Fait Dodo
Beaux-Rêves-en-(Paris, Dordogne, Provence, etc.)
Amelie's Sweet Dreams
Portes Ouverts
Votre Maison Français
Best French (Italian, Spanish) Hosts
Bien Choisi
Pillows 'Round the World
Euro Select Stays
Hidden Inns of Europe
Secret Inns of Europe
Best Kept Secret Stays

We'll be arriving in Montmartre the evening of April 1, staying two nights in a small apartment next to Ermitage Hotel on Rue Lamarck.

Courage!

What about Sublime Secrets of Europe or Amelie's Special Secrets? 'Special' and 'secret' are both written the same in French and English so even if the order were different, they would be understood by speakers of both languages. Sublime is almost the same but I am not sure of the connotations in French!

wow! What a brainstorming! If I ever get another flat I'll remember this thread!
But actually some of the words mentioned are not French. for ex "Sommeil Fortement" does not make any sense in French. I can't even think of an equivalent. French don't sleep 'fort', but dorment à poings fermés (literally sleep with their fists closed like babies?)
"A Chez Nous" is not correct either (sorry!) chez nous or chez someone, like "chez Amélie"
Bonne adresse already exists.
Anyway everybody here gave you some very good ideas.
If you need help with French genders like "Portes OuvertEs, Votre Maison FrançaisE" please ask, but maybe you know already ;-)
I reckon the internet is essential for promoting something. 70% of my guests found me on the internet, 20% were sent by a colleague (my website was not made yet, thanks again tedgale for the translation )
and 10% found me in cote dor tourisme brochure(hard copy). Now word by mouth is spreading and it is great! I'll welcome some Fodorites soon and though they are friends now it is very stressful, everything has to be perfect!
See you in Paris someday!

Ho la la ! it is fantastic to get all these messsages.
This morning I was on St Louis Island (after leaving in Paris for 20 years I am still impressed each time I go there).
I went to visit a beautiful apartment with view on the Seine to be rented and guess who I saw : Hugues Grant with his new girlfriend !
Let's come back to my serious concern. I am going to read carefully all your suggestions and for those who are coming to Paris, I confirm the Secret Montmartre's visit to "La tour de cause" I used to live rue Lamark hereafter his my email address [email protected]
What do you think of :
Demeures privées
Special places to stay in Europe

Hi Anne, I'm just leaving for Dijon where like you in Paris I'm always impressed to see the ducal palace (under the snow now).
I agree with your choice, saw it on several websites(google)so people know what it is. Usually the first impression is always the good one!

Tell us when it is ready to be seen.
à bientôt
coco
