B & B

Looking for a nice b & b in Salzburg May 17th. Any information would be helpful.

Hopefully, someone can give you an answer, based on firsthand experience, but your question is many hours old with no replies (now "124 deep") and may well go ignored.

I think there are plenty of hotels in Salzburg with a "B&B character" - - and price. "True" B&B accommodations are more likely to be out away from the old town, and may not be worth any savings they offer.

Here is an interesting site (which I have never heard of before), listing four - - http://www.travellerspoint.com/guest...ountry=Austria - - and all four of them are quite a ways out. As good as they may sound, I would not choose any of these.

Best wishes,

Rex

Thank you Rex for your info. I will check out your ref. We will rent a car so distance won't be a problem.

Try this site:

Also, this one, I've copied from a prior post:

"Our favorite place to stay near Salzburg is the Hotel Friesacher in Anif.
The hotel is about 10 minutes outside of the Salzburg center and is charming, with a wonderful breakfast...
Salzburg and its surroundings were really beautiful. Once again we found a BandB on the internet
which suited our needs perfectly - Haus Elizabeth, overlooking the city, approx. 10 minute bus ride
from the center, 50 euro per double including breakfast."
