Azores Trip
 

My wife and I are planning a trip to the Azores toward the end of May. We will be in Portugal for 3 days and then plan on flying to the Azores for another 7-10. We would definitely like to go to Pico where my wife's family is from and also travel to Sao Miguel. Looking for help and suggestions in creating an itinerary. And we are definitely interesting in hiking.

We went to the Azores a few years ago and our trip was like this:

Horta on Faial, stayed in the Pousada.
Trip to Pico from Horta by boat
Sao Miguel by boat. Walked from the top of the volcano down to the sea and along the shore. We were completely shattered after that, but was able to drink several beers immediately after.
Flew across to Terceira, stayed just outside Angra.

We had ten days, but would have had no trouble extending that in the Central group. Enjoyed the food and accommodation, loved the islands we visited.
