Avignon Train Question

I've searched the forum but haven't found an answer to this question:

I arrive at Avignon TGV and have one hour to catch a train at the Avignon SNCF station. Is 1 hour a reasonable amount of time? Has anyone done this? Any other advice? Thanks.

There are buses that run between the TGV and SNCF station. The TGV station is not that big, it is quite sleek and modern and efficient; it feels like a tiny airport. So you can zip right out to the front area where transport options await. The Avignon SNCF station is not that big, either- it is probably a question of if there is traffic and if you can catch the right bus- another option would be to take a taxi; pricey but at least as a back up plan.

I didn't pay that close attention, without a time crunch, but it seemed like maybe 20- 25 minutes? So while you are cutting it a little close, it can be done.

This is a time when buying the SNCF ticket ahead of time (perhaps at your previous location) would also be useful, so you don't have to deal with that- the schedule is posted right inside the Avignon station, and you could head right for your platform if it is posted already....

lastly..well..you asked for other advice and the inside scoop is to use the bathroom on the train before getting off! Not only will you save precious minutes, the ones in the TGV station are tucked in the farthest possible corner of the station and you have to pay!!!

Just to add a bit ...

You should be able to make the connection without any difficulty. When you get off the TGV, follow the signs for Taxi and Navette (which may appear as the symbol for a bus). This will lead you to a taxi stand and bus stop at the front of the Avignon TGV station.

You could take a taxi, but the shuttle bus (or navette) is quick and inexpensive (€2.50, or something in that range). According to the bus schedule, the transit time from station to station is 10 to 13 minutes. The navette stops just across the street from the SNCF station in Avignon.

You can see the schedule here; just click on "horaires et trajets", then "31 lignes et leur horaires", then "Navette TGV", then the little clock:
