Avignon - Car Parking

My sister and I will be in Provence mid-August. We may stop at Avignon (will probably be game time decision). We are staying right outside of St. Remy and will have a car. Where is the best place to park if we wanted to visit Avignon? Is there a place on the outskirts of town? Thank you!

We always park in the parking garage at the train station.

Just outsite the city walls, near Le Pont Saint Benezet( the bridge with the famous lullaby) there are quite few parking's lots.

If you look up Avignon at www.via-michelin.com and click on Car parks, it will show parking lots on the map and give addresses. You could print the map. Coming from St. Remy, we drove around the city wall to the west and parked in a large underground lot near the broken bridge.
