Avignon Bed & Breakfast

My husband I will be travelling to Avignon in mid May 2018. I am looking for a bed & breakfast in Avignon for 2 nights. We would prefer to keep the cost to €175 a night. Important to us is a place where the staff is friendly and rooms are comfortable and clean. We definitely want a king bed or 2 twins. I have been looking at B&B Villa de Margot and Le Limas. Any feedback on these 2 properties or others that I should consider would be appreciated. Thank you!

First you should understand that there are very few B&B's in France. You seem to be looking for a hotel with breakfast included.

How strange to want a clean room! Most of us assume that all hotel rooms in France are dirty and we roll around on the floor to gather the dust bunnies.

I go to Avignon every year and never spend more than 70 euros for a (clean) room.

No it isn't strange to want a clean establishment to spend the night no matter where it is located....France, United States, China or anywhere else. I have read reviews of hotels in various destinations where the guest got a room was not clean and where there were bed bugs. Last month I saw a news report where several hotels were found not to be changing the sheets (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUpsZsWwqvI). I guess you have never had the misfortune of staying somewhere that was not clean which is great for you unfortunately not everyone else has been so lucky. I wasn't trying to be rude or imply anything. I am only looking for some help. There was no need for you to be snarky, it was unnecessary.

I stayed at Le Colbert and liked it very much, though rather beneath your budget. The people were lovely and, yes, it was clean, even at that price. Very well located.

Just as there is no need for you to be snarky in return. How long do you think that a hotel stays in business if there have been reviews about bedbugs or dirty sheets? Perhaps as long as a supermarket that is reported to have sold spoiled milk or rotten meat?

I am really sorry that you have been traumatized by a You Tube video. Maybe you should read the reviews on Trip Advisor -- they are so incredibly reliable.

I was going to answer feeling half french ill just wish you good luck to find a good bed and a clean room.
Try to find a nice owner too that will make the challenge tougher.

Welcome in france If you behave like you write maybe you would be better to stay home where I am sure everything is perfect and everybody so helpful. .
