Autumn stroll in central Switzerland
A lot of people who enjoy hiking or just long walks head straight to the Alps when they arrive in Switzerland. And that's fully understandable. But there are plenty of beautiful walks though the non-Alpine villages and countryside. Last week, a friend and I spent a pleasant afternoon strolling through the woods and paths in central Switzerland on the border of Lake Zug. We had a lovely time, saw some gorgeous scenery and then relaxed over tea afterwards.
We started with the paved walking paths among the trees and by a quiet pond. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fod...4e52f8b5b7.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fod...cd8a0a7e39.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fod...2c13b612b2.jpg |
After that, we went through some smaller paths through the trees.

Among the buildings scattered about was a 12th century castle and a wooden chalet with some owl carvings and a dragon spout.

The day ended with a walk by some plants protected from the winter with what looks like teepees made from large leaves and, of course, a view of Lake Zug itself.

WT, never trust anyone who claims to not enjoy autumnal walks, right?
You folks live in a lovely area to do such strolls. My fave shot is the 'multi-coloured reflections in the pond.' I am done. the russet wonders |
