Autoeurope bonus now in effect
 

Autoeurope is offering a free upgrade on rentals in certain countries (France is one). This appears to be a good time to book (I have no ties to Autoeurope except I have found them a great company with which to work.) They will even apply this upgrade to bookings made earlier. Although I booked in January for May rental, a phone call got me an upgrade and a $160 CA refund on a $780 rental. Worth looking into.

I was interested until I read the part about it being valid only on manual transmissions. :-( Those who are not as stick-challenged as I: enjoy the upgrade. :-)

Tried it and the time frame did not work for my trip...Sept. Thanks anyhow.

Hertz also upgrades, but only on manual cars.
