Don't make excess refund insurance in Auto Europe .
They don't cover many level such as accident with animal, unpaved way, violence etc.
Furthermore in any case , no matter what kind of accident they will demand police report.
they also will give you an answer only after 3 month.
Their are much better program in the market.

Don't buy insurance without reading the policy. AutoEurope is almost always the best deal around. If you have a problem with them, it's almost 100% sure it's YOUR problem. Tell me, what other "program" insures you for running into a wild boar or driving on an unpaved road? The "violence" issue is...exactly what? Of COURSE they'll want to see a police report. Where do you live that a reported accident doesn't involve a police report?

I've seen your posts before. They've been roundly debunked, and rightly so. You didn't know what you signed. End of story.

No car rental agency allow you to drive the vehicle off road - has noting to do with Auto Europe.

And if you run into an animal while driving off road, of course you will have to pay for the damage.

Not sure what you mean by "violence" - did you or someone you were in conflict with damage the car?

And naturally they require a police report - every insurance company does for every accident reported.

Unpaved/gravel roads are very common in Scandinavia and if I could not drive my rental car on them, I could not reach my house. Alot of unmade roads are maintained by the national transport admin & therefore might be allowed to drive a rental car on them. In Iceland, some car rental companies stipulate a max speed limit for unpaved roads.Why would they do that if the rental car is not allowed to be driven on them? I would check if the unmade road you drove on was part of the national road network or if it was a private road.

Vandalism to the car is not covered, if that is what you mean by violence and neither is collision with animals. I think you are right, there are better excess insurance policies out there but you do need to read the small print to see what you are covered for.
