Where's the best place (airport duty free shop, city, etc.) to buy real ROLEX watches?

kimerley, I bought one of them in Thailand -- seemed like a bargain at the time. ((a)) ((b))

Budman,
is it still ticking....can I get one at Bangkok airport???((o))

Budman Jan 31st, 2004 07:18 PM

Actually, I've been told it has Seiko inners. The battery died years ago, and I've been too embarrassed to take it in to get it replaced. :"> ((b))

biskut,

What exactly do you mean by good prices? Can you be a bit more specific?
Thank you

Budman,
don't be embarrassed...go into a watch maker and tell them it was a gift from someone famous (eg a movie star), rave on about how generous that person was/is.....the watch maker will feel so sorry for you that you think you have a "real" rolex that he'll probably give the watch a service as well for free....it will help if you look slightly pathetic...it works for me every time lol

fate_golfman Jan 31st, 2004 11:03 PM

thanks biskut. anywho... let's focus please. what i mean is real rolex and not knock-off. best regards to you all.

kimerley Jan 31st, 2004 11:30 PM

fate,
your question is rather broad.
What country/city do you want to buy it in.Check out the rolex web site for recommended dealers.
If your worried about the cost of a rolex, ring around and compare prices...
my grandmother always said "if you need to ask the price, you can't afford to buy it" lol

Hi

Have you tried to check prices on web shops? One that is often mention on watch forums is Silvermagic...you can check it out on http://www.smwatches.com/. Personally I prefer Breitling...but hey, different strokes for different folks :-)

If you are in London typically Watches Of Switzerland would be the place to go. However, if you are here for a week or longer I can put you in touch with a jewllers I go to that offer me a 10% discount on every model, even the yachtmaster which has a waiting list, and yes they are brand new, perfect, and genuine.

Good morning, there is a chain of watch shops in CH names BUCHERER, they have stores in Interlaken, Zurich, Luzern and other Swiss cities. Might
compare prices of other shops, etc..
