Any bro or sis can give me some comment? i am going in coming sep09.
Thanks in advance. |
One of the pleasures of travel us to relax and enjoy the sights AND the ambiance of the places. I personally wouldn't structure my visit to Vienna as much as you have. Additionally, keep in mind that it DOES rain sometimes in Vienna. There go your best-laid plans.
Is there something missing in your plans as you listed them ? Your postings stops with you arrival in Hallstatt. Then what? |
Just sharing my thoughts.
You are traveling a long distance and then on the first day you plan to spend a few hours shopping! I love shopping too, but realize that shopping is unending. It will be daylight hours, so you should be maybe taking a walk to some nearby place and enjoying a little bit sightseeing. Later in the evening, a little shopping can be done. And truly in this day and age, most of the stuff one finds is available everywhere. I would really find a nearby sightseeing place or even a nice park, a church or some small museum, art gallery etc. to spend a little time to understand the country better. Have a great trip. |
Thanks treplow and ileen for your great input... i am still drafting my plan, which may required more comments for you guys...

Dear bro and sis, really appreciate your comment please... thanks... |
What kind of meal/price range are you looking for? If you're looking for a casual, less expensive place, I really enjoyed the Augustinerbrau (http://www.fodors.com/world/europe/a...iew-34940.html). It's a giant beer hall dating from the 1600s with authentic food that you buy from little market-like stalls. They also have an outdoor seating area, and it's located right on the River Salzach, so after dinner you can take a stroll along the river to the center of Old Town. It was some of the best beer I had in Austria :)
