Aushwitz-Birkenau

Does anyone know of a good tour company to give a guided tour of Ausshwitz-Birkenau? We will be staying in Krakow. Thanks for your help!

Hi B,

Search for <Krakow> in the "search this forum" box.

Someone recently gave suggestions on taking the bus to Auschwitz and getting a guided tour there.

Much cheaper.

Hi - We went by ourselves from Krakow. The train goes to the town and then you get off and with many other people, take a bus - they tell you where to get it. It's only abut 10 minutes from the station. When you get to Aushwitz, yes, you can get a tour there and also go to Birkenau (about 5 minutes away.)

Hi Bob. The train does go very close to the camps.
You can go yourself and get a guide there.
If you want transportation provided for you there are scads of places to buy tickets and a group bus will take you to both camps, hook you up with an English speaking guide and get you back to Krakow. I think it is about $30.

A private driver from Krakow will be costly. I think it is about $175 or more.
