August Travel

Would like some suggestion pls...I have no choice but to travel in August -peak season! I am thinking about Ireland or Scotland - travelling from Canada so I think it might be the cheapest to travel there. Any other suggestions?

There is really nothing wrong w/ traveling in August. Your only real issue would be in Edinburgh. W/ all the festivals and the Tattoo --Edinburgh fills to bursting. You'd want to book accommodations as soon as possible.

But other than Edinburgh --w/ reasonable planning you can have an easy trip in August. And I'm not saying to avoid Edinburgh - just that IF you want to stay there book as far ahead as possible and also book tickets to the Tattoo.

What do you like, Kelsey? Whereabouts in Canada are you coming from?

Ireland especially rural areas will be great in August.

Scottland will be fine in the highlands around Inverness

my fav so head there.

Tatoo way too touristy for me tour the cities B4 or after

for best deals...

Railpass is a nice way to get around www.seat61.com

or www.eurolines.com if budget...

Blair Castle in the highlands my ancestral clan home

would be a do not miss for me...

Happy Journey,

I am travelling solo and not driving...is it easy to get around? I saw the links posted...thanks - I will get to them. I would like to get to Edinburgh for a bit of excitement (however crowded!) and then make an escape for some walking - nothing too strenous and prob somehing organized - as it is lonely walking alone.
