Augsburg to Munich
 

Can anyone tell me the cost of train fare to Munich from Ausburg? Is there a web site we can go to for trains? I can't read German.

Someone will post, I am sure, the link to the English page of the GermanRail website (www.bahn.de) but as an alternative you can get the APPROXIMATE fare by doing so on the www.Raileurope.com site and looking at point to point tickets.
Note that the Raileurope "fare" shown will be more than you'll actually pay since there is a certain amount of mark-up involved when using the European rail consortium's US agency (i.e., Raileurope).
Actually, the Bahn site will give you a quote, usually in 2nd class that is in Euros so no German language is required.

13.40 on the IC, 9.40 on the regional trains, 2nd class.

There are also regional tickets/passes. We were there in Dec and my cousin suggested a Bayern ticket specifically for that region (note: Augsburg and Munich are in Bavaria). At this point, I don't recall if the discount was for 2 people or unlimited on and off for XX days but worth a check. WHile at Nurnburg Rail Station, I was told that each region has their own pass.
