Audi or BMW tour?

My husband wants to do one or the other or both. The BMW one sounds good because it has motorcycles also. Has anyone done either? BMW said in order to get the tour you have to submit in writing or call sometimes two months in advance. Maybe November will be slow.

November weather can be real iffy. We're always in Kassel Germany the end of November and we've had snow more than once! I would not think a motorcycle would be a good idea in snow....

A few more details about the two tours might be helpful to others who want to try to answer your question.

This is the Audi/BMW factory tours. No driving involved. The BMW one is in Munich and the Audi one is on the way to Nurmberg. Wish we could drive or ride.

Does it make a difference since you will not be able to drive one of these dream machines! Personally, I lean toward Audi, but BMW isn't bad... I've driven both as rental cars, but own an Audi.

The BMW tour was Very interesting, so good in fact, that we have ordered a BMW and are going to Munich in Nov to pick it up. can't wait!!! The tour takes about two hours and is very well planned and informative. The robotics are amazing. No test driving involved. The tour of the Volkswagon plant in Dresden is also good,, in an all glass building and the whole assembly line is so quiet. You should prebook both of these tours as soon as you know your dates.

There have been many articles recently about BMW owners being jerks.

Here are three.

Thank you, my husband loves BMW bikes so think this one for sure and if time allows we will get off the train on the way to Nurmberg and do the Audi one also. We have two days in Munich this trip so will be good to do. We have been to Munich many times but never have done this.

I have not done the BMW factory tour but the BMW museum is full of BMW sexiness.

If we can't book a factory tour then the BMW Museum will be good.

We did the BMW tour a couple of years ago - very well-done.

When I wanted to book BMW factory tour one month ahead, it was already booked. As others said, book as soon as possible, and it's available only during the work days.
However, I really enjoyed visiting the museum and BMW center.

We thought the BMW tour was fascinating - the robots were mesmerizing. It was a highlight of our trip for my husband and son.

We didn't see any motorcycles being manufactured, but we did get to sit on several of them in a display area.

We did European delivery this summer - it was a terrific experience. We won't be in the market for another one for about 12 more years, but we would like to do it again. Poconolady - you will very much enjoy your experience.

I have sent a request for Nov so hoping we get a tour. We will do the museum on Sunday if not. Thanks for all the info.

We got an email back from them and we have an English speaking tour booked for a Monday morning. Thank you all.
