Au Lys d'Argent, Paris
I've searched in vain for a website that will tell me what days and hours this cafe/tea room on Ile St-Louis is open for lunch and tea.
If anyone has info, I'd appreciate it. |
My (older) copy of Cheap Eats by Sandra Gustafson says that it is open every day of the year. Winter hours 12 noon to 3:30 and 6 to 10:30pm. Summer 11:30 to 10:30, continuous service. Hope this helps but I can't guarantee that it is still correct.

Here's a link to someone who had lunch there in March 2004:

thanks for the info
I'm trying to find a pleasant and not expensive (under 25 e for lunch) place for lunch or afternoon tea on a Sunday, in conjunction with a visit to the Marais and/or Notre Dame. I'm going with a Paris first-timer, and I'd like even a casual meal to be a great experience. |
Hi elaine,
>I'm trying to find a pleasant and not expensive (under 25 e for lunch) place for lunch or afternoon tea on a Sunday,...< You might also want to consider Brunch at the Jacquemart-Andre' Museum. In Spring or Summer you can take a walk through the Parc Monceau after visiting the Museum. http://www.musee-jacquemart-andre.co...re/home_en.htm |
Thanks ira, I had thought of that, but so far on that Sunday I'm thinking that we'll spend it in the Marais, Ile St Louis, and then on to Notre Dame, Ste Chapelle
