Au Lys d'Argent, Paris

I've searched in vain for a website that will tell me what days and hours this cafe/tea room on Ile St-Louis is open for lunch and tea.
If anyone has info, I'd appreciate it.

My (older) copy of Cheap Eats by Sandra Gustafson says that it is open every day of the year. Winter hours 12 noon to 3:30 and 6 to 10:30pm. Summer 11:30 to 10:30, continuous service. Hope this helps but I can't guarantee that it is still correct.

Here's a link to someone who had lunch there in March 2004:

No hours given, unfortunately...

thanks for the info
I'm trying to find a pleasant and not expensive (under 25 e for lunch) place for lunch or afternoon tea on a Sunday, in conjunction with a visit to the Marais and/or Notre Dame. I'm going with a Paris first-timer, and I'd like even a casual meal to be a great experience.

Hi elaine,

>I'm trying to find a pleasant and not expensive (under 25 e for lunch) place for lunch or afternoon tea on a Sunday,...<

You might also want to consider Brunch at the Jacquemart-Andre' Museum. In Spring or Summer you can take a walk through the Parc Monceau after visiting the Museum.

Thanks ira, I had thought of that, but so far on that Sunday I'm thinking that we'll spend it in the Marais, Ile St Louis, and then on to Notre Dame, Ste Chapelle
