Attire for Dinner
 

Does anybody know, and I'm sure someone does, what the proper attire would be for a moderate dinner in Paris? We weren't planning on bring suits and evening gowns, unless we decided to try the Moulin Rouge dinner. Speaking of which, was that any good or worth it?

I'm guessing this is a joke, right? The most suitable attire for the Moulin Rouge would be pink jogging suits or jeans and casual shirts, just like all the other tourists, because that's what it is all about, although looking Japanese will help you blend in even more.<BR>Moderate dinner attire elsewhere in Paris? Exactly the same as in New York, or San Francisco, or Denver, or Anytown USA. And if you aren't sure what that is, it means almost anything goes.

Kinda shocked! In another post, they said that they weren't let in b/c the male did not have a tie on. So, these reports are conflicting. <BR>As far as dinner, I was thinking kind of on the same lines. Casual, but not too casual (pink jogging suit)

Candy: I just back from Paris/Rome 2 days ago. After reading all of the posts on this site, I refused to wear jeans at night. There were plenty of people wearing jeans at restaurants for dinner. Don't worry about attire - it's just like it would be anywhere. It all depends on the restaurant. If you're going to a nice restaurant, dress nice. If it's a casual restaurant, jeans are definately okay.
