Attending church services in Rome? Wed or Sun?
When you travel to Rome...do you attend any church services? It would be amazing to see the Pope do some kind of blessing in St. Peters Square! Does this happen on Sun or Wed? I dont have anything planned for our last Wednesday in Rome..so that could be an option.
Any opinions?
Thanks in advance,
Samantha

There is Papal Audience on Wednesdays at 10.30 am, now taking place in St Peter's Square. You need a ticket for this, obtainable free from Santa Susanna church http://www.santasusanna.org/popeVati...peVatican.html and possibly from your hotel concierge.
On Sundays the Pope blesses the crowd gathered in St Peter's Square at 12 noon.
For other Papal functions during your stay, you have to check the official Vatican site at http://www.vatican.va/news_services/...lendar_en.html
For many, but not all, Papal services, advance booking for (free) tickets are required.
