ATMs: Lake Como and Lake Garda
 

I try to minimize the amount of cash I bring to Europe and have had no trouble getting cash in big cities. Does anyone know the availablilty of ATMs on the Lakes? I will be staying in Bellagio and Malcesine. Thanks!

There's an ATM on the lakefront in Bellaggio. Don't know about Malcesine.

Log on to visa.com, choos Italy from drop-down list, choose the Find a Cash Machine link, enter information as required and off you go!

" Bancomats" are everywhere !

We pulled cash with my checking Visa card from the Banco Popular ATM's in Varenna & Menaggio - both part of the Deutche Bank network, which somehow made my Tedesco-lineaged wife feel "better" about the transaction. My credit union charged another buck for the non-member transaction. Don't know what DB's extra charges are yet.
