Just like any American city, you will have no problems finding plenty of ATMs in Poland.

As my Polish friend likes to remind me: "We are not monkeys living in the jungle. Poland is modern now." She's right. No problem with the ATMs. Happy travels.

I've only been to Krakow, but there were plenty of ATMs there in the central area. Since Warsaw is the capital, I assume the same is true. I have an ATM card from USA, so don't know about Ireland, but don't know why it would be different.

Thanks I knew the answer but they are so pig headed they will not believe me! I told him they are not living in the dark ages with scarves on their heads etc tending the cows...just like some people still think Ireland is like in the countryside! I will mail this to them.

Thanks all

Wish I was going!

Just wanted to see if anyone could tell me that in order to use an ATM card in Poland your account has to be tied in to a checking account rather than a savings account? That is what I have heard. I am not talking about a debit card, I mean an ATM card. Thanks.
