ATM Machine Availability at Stockholm Airport
 

Does anyone know if an ATM machine is easy to find in the Stockholm airport?? <BR>A friend of mine, who is not a net user, is flying there. His questions is: <BR>"Should I purchase Swedish currency before leaving the USA or can I rely on finding an ATM machine in the airport?" <BR>So if you can help out, please do so. <BR>I will relay the answers.

Not a real answer to your question but I do know we had no trouble finding an ATM in Stockhom itself so I would GUESS the same would be true of the airport. I tend to always think having $50-100 in the currency of where you're landing is always a safe bet.

I figured ATM's would be easy to find once out of the airport. <BR>I like to arrive with a little local money. But here in Athens I am not sure <BR>that getting Swedish money will be that easy. Bank of America should be able to do it, but it means a special order hence a fee for the transaction beyond <BR>the lousy exchange rate you get on currency purchases in small quantities. <BR>I was looking for a way around the nuisance and relatively high expense. <BR>French francs, no problem. But Paris is a popular destination.

Has been several years, but we arrived at Stockholm airport with no Swedish currency and found the ATM and got cash immediately. Have yet to find an airport where that was not true. Stockholm airport was easy, sorry I can't remember exact directions to it, but it is there.

You can easily get currency mailed to your home in the USA off of an American Express card and there is NO FEE for this! It's great!
