What terminal do you arrive at?

Can't remember exactly, I was half-asleep. I usually take the IAD-CDG route, but that's assuming your bag pick-up is in same place. Think once I grabbed my bag, walked past the currency exchange then out of the secured area into a chaotic mass of people I did somewhat of a u-turn & the atm was right there. I'm sure I must've seen a sign or something cause it was not the direction I was going. Sorry can't be of more help.

Shouldn't your nervous friend be taking along some Euro in case the ATM machine is not accessible?

If an ATM cannot be found or isn't working, then, and ONLY then, would I exchange just enough money to get myself to an ATM that IS functioning.

In Terminal 2, there's an ATM at the post office in the car rental area downstairs. Not sure about Terminal 1.

wondering, the Aéroports de Paris website (www.adp.fr) has a map for each terminal at Roissy CDG. If your nervous friend determines which terminal they will be arriving at, they can look at the map and see the location of the nearest "cash dispenser" (ATM).

United is usually Terminal 1 (the ugly round one).

StCirq Mar 8th, 2005 05:40 AM

If it's Terminal 1, and I think it is because that's where I usually land on United, you'll exit the baggage claim area in front of Gate 34, where the Information Desk is, and the Air France shuttles just outside the door. Go through the large swinging doors into the terminal and hug the right wall. When you reach (almost immediately) the corridor that runs around the airport, turn right and there's an ATM machine about two feet after you turn, on the right.

Failing all else (I know this is a novel approach), ask when you get there.

Budman Mar 8th, 2005 06:31 AM

If all else fails and the ATM's are out of order, hop in a taxi (most all take credid cards), and ask him to stop by an ATM machine on your way to wherever you are going. This should not be a problem. ((b))
