ATM at CDG?
Am I correct in assuming that there are ATMs at the CDG airport. If not I have to buy euros at home. I have about 40 euros but not enough for a taxi & I don't think they take Visa.

There is an ATM at CDG. If it is out of order, most, if not all, taxis will take visa/mastercard. With your 40 euros, you'll be just fine.
If push comes to shove, have the taxi driver stop by an ATM for you on the way to your hotel. ((b)) |
CDG is rather large, and probably has more than one ATM. At terminal 1 there seems to be only one though Terminal 2 is much larger. worst case, there are money exchange booths- mostly too expensive, but if you must exchange US dollars, it will work. Why don't you take some euros with you, most banks will have some if you ask at least one day before- or through AAA office. Recommend 60 euros to get you from the airport to your hotel etc. ATMs are on evey corner in Paris.

If the ATM is working, you can probably get money with your card at an airport bank.

Dear Mimmel:
Not to worry, there are several ATM's within the terminals at CDG. Just keep your eyes open for them. After you pass thru the baggage claim and head toward the exit toward buses and/or cabs you will see them. Regards.. Luis |
I would not worry about finding an ATM at CDG. The banks want your business!
At CDG terminal 2, in addition to ATMs on the arrival level, there are ATMs upstairs on the departure level. As we left Paris in November 2005, we went to CDG T-2's departure level. The first thing we saw were two HSBC ATMs. We laughed, since the last thing we needed were more Euros. Woody |
