Anyone with any advice /experience of the Lacanau area for a family of 4 ,2 infants aged 3 and 6 mths.We are booked in a pierre and Vacances in early june .Are there any parks/theme parks/trains or anything other than the beach and pool to interest the kids?

I have been to Lacanau and the surrounding area a few times, and although I'm a little older than your two kids, I feel it's safe to say that outside of the beaches and other outdoor activities, there is very little going on.

Whilst beautiful, unless you're into surfing, cycling or other similar activities, it can get a little dull if the weather isn't great. But having said that, at your kid's age, I could have spent weeks happily playing with my bucket and spade on the beach and would have screamed blue murder if I was dragged to a theme park.

You never know, your progeny might be future world surfing champions...

I assume June will be warm.I was told that there was a steam train railway within car distance ,my son loves trains can anyone enlighten me?
