Athens to Delphi by Car
 

Hi all,

We are taking a day trip to Delphi from Athens and are looking for suggestions on nice things to do on the way/ your experiences with some of the places We have found. We saw the following areas that seemed nice and not much of a detour. These are options that we are considering:

I think the order between Athens and Delphi would be:
Livadia
Distomo - am most unsure about this one
Hosios Loukas
Arachova

All of these areas seem to be on the main highway. We saw some recommendations to go along the coast. We were thinking of doing that on the way back. What are your thoughts?

Also! I forgot to ask - any good recommendations for nice car rental agencies in Athens? We are staying near the Acropolis Museum. We would prefer somewhere that opens early and closes late so we can take as long a day trip as possible.
