Athens Hotel Recommendation
 

Hello Fodorites. My husband and I will be in Athens for one night in September. Any hotel recommendations would be welcome. I guess our budget would be somewhere between $400 and $600 a night, especially since we won't be there very long. I read that Plaka, Monastirak and Syntagma are pretty central areas to stay in. Thanks very much.

I don’t have recommendations at that price point but you shouldn’t need to spend anything like that.

For money like that, I would insist on a view of the Acropolis. But to guarantee that, you would have to deal directly with the hotel.

We loved our stay at the Electra Palace hotel

Great location in a walkable district, fantastive views from the rooftop restaurant, and a nice in-house spa.
