Thank you namaka...I will have to give credit mostly to my husband...only about 30 percent are my effort.

Thank you for the quick trip to Italy, because looking at your photos, that's what it felt like...being there!

Thank you all for taking the time to look at them and for your nice remarks. The critters make up most of my 30 percent contribution...I can't help myself. It helps me from missing mine while I'm away.

Really nice photos. I love the Roman pup! I too take pictures of dogs because I always miss mine so much.

What a wonderful treat -- thank you for posting them! About this time last year, we were staying in a lovely apartment in Montepulciano with an entrance in a little viccolo just like those in your photos. I haven't traveled as much as some but surely the Tuscan countryside must be among the most beautiful in the world!

Thank you for all the positive remarks.

hdm...I have been many places of beauty but Tuscany and Umbria are surely at the top of my list. Since you started in such a beautiful place, you may find other locations equally beautiful but it may be hard to surpass. I am hoping that Dordogne will come close as we have plans to go there next May.

Moolyn...my trip report is posted but it is soooo long. I wish I could learn to condense a little more. I think fewer words and more photos is a good formula for next time.

Your pictures are gorgeous! DH and I spent a week in Umbria in March and visited a lot of the same places you did. Unfortunately we left our memory stick at home and had to use a disposable camera; most of our pictures didn't even turn out. Your pictures are bringing back lots of great memories!

Oops...forgot to mention that I'm glad you got to Trevi! It doesn't get much mention on this board but it was such a neat town, one of our favorites. We just lost ourselves in the maze of streets for an afternoon and had a great time.
