..at last a shortish list
 

we have decided to go to venice april 2004...i want a romantic and not tooo expensive place to stay....there lies the problem. have now spent many a night researching possibles - rants and raves..., trip advisor and have now become a 'fodorite' to get some more advise to try and shorten my quite lengthy short list!!!

so...LOCANDA ORSEOLO...ACCADEMIA...CALCINA...LEON BIANCO...ANTICO DOGE ...CA'PISANI

Lots of folks have recommended the Accademia and La Calcina.

Have you done a text search on these names?

Your list seems consistent, pricewise, except for Ca' Pisani, which is above the others. So many have already reviewed these, you should find plenty to read in the Fodor's site. I would personally prefer La Calcina, but that's because I like the big water. Good luck.

Locanda Orseolo has gotten alot of good comments on tripadvisor.com and quite a few people from Fodors have stayed there and liked it alot.
