Assisi at Christmas

I have read that Assisi has a precession on Christmas Eve and that the Nativity scene is very special and worth seeing. But as we won't be able to be there until Dec 26th, is it still worth going to. Is there anything going on the week after Christmas? I am unable to find any links on this. Does anyone have information on this? Thank you in advance.

Saturday nights at 9:15, there is a Rosary procession.
It's pretty special - 1000 people together, with candle, chanting the Rosary.

We're not religious, but found it quite moving.

We were there Dec. 31 last year. There is quite a lot going on until Epiphany, don't worry. And the nativity scene will still be up--there are many all over town, in fact. If you do a search here or perhaps Google for both the basilica and the town tourist organization you will find sites listing ALL the various processions, concerts, chorales, special services, etc. Yes, Assisi is busy and touristy, but it's beautiful and amazing especially during the Christmas season. And I'm not even religious!

Do try to see the church in the lower town while in Assisi:
