asian woman in German Sauna??
 

Hi you all! <BR> <BR>I have heard that male and female <BR>share with same public sauna and public bathroom in Germany and Swiss - male and female mixed sauna. Really? <BR> <BR>I'm planning to go to Germany, Swiss, and Austria in this comming September for sightseeing. <BR> <BR>Is it safe to bath in public 'M&F mixed sauna' in Gremnay Cities for 25years asian woman alone? Asakko, my only experience with a sauna in Germany was at the hotel I was staying at. In that hotel, the men and women did not sauna together. <BR> <BR>Public bathrooms was different. I have seen men and women using the bathroom at the same time which was something of a shock to an Amerian male.

Hi Asakko, <BR>yes you´re right, it´s normal that both male and female share the same sauna. <BR>You will be safe there no matter if you´re Asian or not. In public saunas like in swimming-pools normally there´re special days only for males or only for females and special days for both together. So you can choose what you like. The mixed days are a good possibility for couples to go together and there´s no sexual background at all. But you definitely don´t have to share the same bathroom!! <BR>Have fun <BR> <BR>Miriam

Asakko, <BR>I was in a famous medical bath in Budapest just the beginning of this month, alone. The bath is male and female seperated, everyone was compeletly naked for the whole body massage and public bath area. I wasn't the only Asian woman in the bath(there were few others), and believe or not, when you are totally naked, in a bath, the difference of the physical apperance of racies won't be terriblly shocking . My question to you, I've never been to Japan, although I want to go to Kyoto to see the Japanese culture. Is it true that Japanese have the same concept of traditional mixed sex bath? I heard it's very expensive??? You can also email me directly. I haven't been to Germany yet, but I returned from Austria on a solo backpacking trip two weeks ago.

Asakko, <BR> <BR>We went to the baths at Baden Baden and found the public sauna to be a very enlightening experience. Nobody seemed to be the least bit concerned about sitting in a room with complete strangers (and yes, it was co-ed). It's completely safe and you'll find it's not at all uncomfortable.
