Artus, D'aubbusson, or L'hotel

My girlfriend (and hopefully by the time we return fiance) are travelling to Europe in Early December. Based on research I have done on this site, I have narrowed the potential hotels to the three listed above, based primary on comments from this board. Can anyone further influence me one way or the other? We want good service, good location, but also want nice accommodations. Does anyone know if one listed above has bigger/nicer accomodations over the other?

Your comments are greatly appreciated.

oh my oh my...but if some lovely gentleman took to Hotel L'Aubusson... I'd probably say yes to just about anything!
I've seen it.. its utterly lovely and very convenient.

here's what I experienced at the d'Aubusson 3 years ago:
Beautiful, fresh decor.

Amply-sized room ("superior" category)including a small sitting area

Helpful front desk staff

Excellent, if pricey, breakfast buffet

Great location for metro
Some early-morning traffic noise on weekdays (my room faced rue Dauphine)

Nice bathroom amenities (robes, toiletries, etc, again, this was a superior room)

Budget permitting, I'd stay there anytime

I've not stayed at any of them, although have had drinks at L'Hotel. The public place is indescribably chic & they have an indoor pool.

You might want to read more reviews on tripadvisor. Here's the link for the D'Aubusson-probably the safest bet of the 3. From there you can also read about the others. I would also try to check for photos on the web. The rooms at L'Hotel are each decorated differently as I recall & some may be a bit quirky.

Lots of good luck!

I just stayed at D'Aubusson last month for 4 nights and loved it! It is a great hotel and is in a convenient location. We stayed in a standard double - good size for Europe. Small bathroom but up-to-date. We also had bathrobes in our room. We were on the 4th floor facing Rue Dauphine and did not hear traffic or any other noises. The staff was fantastic and very helpful. When I return to Paris (soon, I hope) I will stay there again!
