Hello,

I'm looking for any information on the best way to buy football(soccer) tickets for Aresnal from the states. It'seems that buying online from the states, Oh they se ya coming!! so I'm trying to get a little more insight on how to get them maybe more from a local level. Thanks

I'm sure the bevy of FodorFriends who are rabid Spurs fans will quickly offer their advice WITHOUT attitude!

I haven't used them before but Arsenal America is supposed to be the 'official' fan club for the US and have a line on tickets direct from Arsenal.

Well, yes you really should consider going to a Spurs match, but if not then good luck on your quest to see the Gunners!

Tickets are extremely hard to get hold of. Apart from the fact that most are allocated as season tickets, there is also a membership scheme operating at the club, meaning that registered members get first refusal on any spares. Most Premiership matches will be sell-outs.

My advice to anyone wanting to see one of the top Premiership sides would be to go for FA Cup replays. These are often played midweek evenings and are one of the few times non-members can get their mitts on tickets.

why don't they just build bigger stadiums if there is such a huge demand they cannot fulfill? Or play big matches in Wembley? Or do they ever move a match to a larger neutral site?

PalenQ - They have just (last year) moved into a huge state of the art stadium holding around double the number spectators.

It is just that some Premiership teams have a huge following. Arsenal is reputed to be the most supported team in Africa - Shops in Singapore and Australia seemed full of Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal gear.

trucha07 - try emailing the club directly stating that you live in the US, when you might be visiting and ask their advice. Similarly fan's forums are a good source of information (But do't write "Where can I get a ticket for a Spurs/ManU/Chelsea game as you will be roundly abused).

Tickets for Premiership games are very expensive - If I wanted to go and watch Portsmouth as an Away fan at Chelsea, the tickets will cost me around £50. My season ticket at the Premier league's worst ground (by some way) works out to over £35 a game.
