Arriving in Paris/CDG

HI
I get into Terminal 1 at Charles deGaulle Airport, then have to wait for a friend who will arrive in Terminal 2. Any ideas on where to wait/what to do, and most importantly, where I can meet my friend?

How much time between your arrival and his/hers?

My recollection is that there is only one exit from customs. Stand by that door and you will see your friend come out, assuming that you will get there on time.

There is a cafe in Terminal 2 - one escalator down from arrivals - in the TGV train ticketing area - that we always use for a meeting place. Easy to find since you just follow the signs for the train & it is off to the left in the corner as you exit the escalator.

If you have to wait more than an hour or so, I'd just agree to meet up at the hotel. That way, if a delay of some kind occurs, the other person isn't left waiting or stranded.

Anyway Terminal 2 has multiple 'halls' so it would help to know where the friend's plane is going to deboard (or at least, what airline it is).

T2 is huge, so you'd better know which section of T2 your friend will be arriving to.

If both of you are planning to take the RER into Paris, you can always meet at the RER/TGV waiting lobby in T2. There are a couple of benches there (though always seem to be occupied).

T2 has six sections (A-B-C-D-E-F) plus the train station. Take a look at www.easycdg.com .

Definitely meet at hotel/apartment!

1. Ignore what Michael said - he must've not noticed you're arriving at two completely separate terminals.

2. If it's three hours, forget meeting up at the airport. Just meet at your hotel or apartment or wherever you're staying.

Actually I would go out of my way, if I have the time, to meet someone coming in even at a different terminal.
