Arrive LCA depart Heathrow, accom & transport?

We will be arriving into London City Airport for a quick 3 night, 2 day visit. Want to stay Central, easy access, premier inns look great but which one? Any other similar priced accommodation suggestions would be great! Thx

Budget? Number of people?

Easy access to what? Anywhere inside the Circle line is "central".

If you will take the tube to LHR you want to be near a Piccadilly line station.

LCA is the code for Larnaca in Cyprus. LCY is the code for London City airport, hopefully that's the code used for your flight booking.

2 people, oops yes LCY, central to usual tourist spots (my husbands first visit to London). Not big museum people but probably would like to visit Tower of London- is that where the Crown Jewels are? Starting with hotel- then I'll figure out the rest.

Budget - 120-150 ish but the cheaper the better as long as it's clean and the atmosphere is nice. Hostels are fine

Sounds like you need to do some research on London first.

Yes, the Crown Jewels are in the Tower. There are MANY "usual tourist spots", a number of which are museums. You only have two days, you are not going to see a lot. Pick two days worth of site seeing, and then see if they indicate an area. If not, I stay in Bloomsbury when I'm going to arrive or depart from LHR, because I take the tube.

Budget??

If you stay near Tower Hill you will be very convenient to LCY and practically next door to the Tower but a long tube ride from LHR. Otherwise just anywhere within the Circle tube line (look at a tub map on the TFL website).

The very most central/easiest access to LHR would be Covent Garden/Holborn/Leicester Sq. But anywhere along the Piccadilly line (dark blue) between Gloucester Rd and Russell Square will be central/convenient. Or places along the Central/District lines between (yellow/green) Tower Hill and Gloucester Rd.

re thursdaysd's post - Bloomsbury would be in the area of the Holborn/Russell Sq tube stations..

OH -- and '120-150 ish' what? US$, €, £, Can$, AUS$ . . . what?

Missed the budget post - and janisj's question is relevant!

I usually sleep here: http://www.ridgemounthotel.co.uk/

But when the LSE student dorms are available I sleep here:

The LSE Holborn location is cheaper but I like the en-suite and kitchen at Grosvenor House.

Thank you Janissj! Exactly the info I was looking for. I realize I need to research- we know it's quick and don't need to see everything. I've been there a few times. My favorite thing to do is walk through the parks! I'll do more research but now at least I have a place to start! Thx

OOPS -- major typo . . . Should say >><B>Circle</B>/District lines (yellow/green) between Tower Hill and Gloucester Rd.<<

But you haven;t answered the budget question - what currency is it?

If Aus or Can $ that is VERY low
