AROUND TUSCANY AGAIN
 

Here I am after another week to Tuscany.I have been to San Casciano dei Bagni (south Siena)an old small village with a fantistic hot open baths. From here in 15 minutes you reach Pienza and Cetona. Slept at Agriturismo "Il Poggio",up on a hill with a poll and riding-ground.Excellent restaurant. <BR>(web-site:www.borgodelpoggio.it). <BR>Come back to Florence and had a dinner at "La Vecchia Bettola"in Tasso Square, just off Porta Romana. Real tuscanian fork!!! <BR>Slept off the ....at Agriturismo "La Tinaia",near Marciola 10 km far from Florence (www.latinaia.it).Very charming and really convenient agritursimo with friendly owners. Went also to Montelupo where we bought very nice ceramics at Francesca's shop.

Hi Steve,How far San Casciano dei Bagni to Siena ? Do you also know an Agriturismo called "La Suvera" near Siena? Thanks a lot.

Hi Anna, <BR> <BR>I would hardly call Relais La Suvera an Agriturismo, even though they make their own wine. It is a 13th Century papal villa turned luxury hotel, and one of the most beautiful places I have ever been!

Hi Steve, please the open bath can be used by anyone ? <BR>Sorry I am so ignorant :-( in these matters, can you explain where are the open baths? + do you go there at any time and jump in?...thank you. graziella

In San Cascino dei Bagni there is a Pubblic swimming-pool with very Hot-water. Also there is the possibility to have massage etc... You pay a ticket for entrance.
