Arenal:Bullring area Seville?
Hi. I'm still trying to decide where we're going to stay for our five night stay in Seville in March. We have a reservation for El Rey de Moro but started looking at apartments too. What do you think about this Arenal apartment? It would save us a bit of money but not sure if we'll be happy not staying in Santa Cruz. Any insight would be most welcome!

I can't see the location map on my outdated table, but I considered this apartment. I chose another one is similar area. Friends say it is a good location...quieter at night, but close to everything. But only you can decide whether you would be happy or not outside Santa Cruz.

Thanks quiltingmamma! Appreciate your insight.

I can seen the area now. They msy be willing to give uou tje complete address. Other consideration is close proximity to main bus terminal, river walks and cafes, and a great newish refurbed market on the river. Who needs tourist joints to est at?

Arenal is not a bad location (stayed at hotel Las Casas de El Arenal), but I still prefer Santa Cruz (stayed at hotel Amadeus).
|
I would not want to stay in Sta Cruz.

Where would you choose to stay ekscrunchy? I found another nice loft behind the cathedral- about halfway to the river on Calle dos de mayos.
|
We very much liked our location in Barrio Santa Cruz located near the Plaza Alfalfa.

Thanks maitaitom-Enjoyed your trip report! I like the look and sound of that apartment ( my last name is Ferre). I couldn't seem to find it on their website but will check out the other offerings.

Thanks! Home Select (formerly Spain Select) was great to deal with and their apartment prices were quite reasonable.. Have fun in Spain!

We spent 5 nights in an apartment with private terrace overlooking the cathedral and loved it. We walked by the bull ring but didn't find the area very interested or charming so we wouldn't choose to stay there.

The center areas of the city are pretty compact. I walked so much during my last visit (about 7 nights) that I think you could stay almost anywhere..I thought Sta Cruz was beautiful, but packed with hotels and tourist-oriented businesses. I stayed there years ago but would probably chose to stay elsewhere next time. On the most recent visit I rented an apartment through Spain Select, not far from the Cathedral but not in Sta. Cruz.
