Area around Nation

I am planning a rather last minute (for me) trip to Paris, found an apartment that looks great, but I am not overly familiar with this location. The nearest metro is Pipcus. I will be going alone. Any advice? Thanks in advance Rosie

Nation is fine because there are good transport connections.

However . . . >>found an apartment that looks great<< Is the apartment legal? Does it have the city registration number?

As Picpus is not on a metro going to Paris central, just make sure you are within walking distance of the Nation metro stop. The #86 bus at Nation is a good connection for St. Germain area

It's a good non touristy area, but you will probably want to spend most of your time in more central areas. Not a problem.

If it's a legal apartment there will be a 13-digit number beginning with 17 listed on any advertisement (usually with the words Registration No.:)

Listing the registration number is obligatory on all of the ads for holiday apartments in Paris. The number starts with 75.

StCirq Mar 31st, 2018 08:03 AM

Oops, sorry, yes it's 75.

the registration number should be prominently displayed on the listing. If it ain't there it ain't legal.

If you're not sure or can't find it, maybe post a link to the listing and we can take a look.

It's fine, just a little farther out and kind of dull, if you ask me.
