New trend or not, what a pity to ruin an otherwise fabulous outfit.

I don't know, something about it just seems to work. Not many girls could pull off that clutch, but she seems to have the freshness and personality to do it.

I agree with you about her dress, though, it's gorgeous.

which clutch and dress? We must be looking at 2 different photos-- I meant the white sneakers with which so many people seem to be in love.

Fifi, thanks. You made my week. I didn't notice the shoes or the clutch, but I've been living without the Sartorialist and suddenly everything seems much more focused. And the right length.

Going on the website you gave shows lots of photos so I am a bit confused which one you are referring to. Guess I should zip through it again..sounds like one female had on white sneakers. The horror of that! Actually I hate white sneakers if the truth be told.

Lol, when I opened the link I was at a photo with a girl in a beautiful green dress, holding a clutch that looked like a beer can made from a Texas license plate.

It shouldn't work, but I swear she pulls it off.

Here she is:

And not everybody would look good in shiny polka dots.

Love the cardi dress, sweetie darling.

I am sure the woman in the white orthopedic shoes has just come from her podiatrist's office. She is probably running home to change into some Roger Vivier pumps.

I'm uncertain how happy I am, but at least I'm now fairly well assured that I dress well.

That does clear it up. When I opened the link it showed me an older gentleman in a red hat. Wasn't sure what was offensive about his outfit.

The girl with the white tennies is here http://tinyurl.com/28wqyc
. LOVE her cape, and her hair too. The shoes are def just for running around the city. Can't say I blame her.

Good grief! I scrolled through all the photos. And to think some Americans are so insecure they constantly ask for advice to dress like people in PAris or Milan. I wish they could see this link, it should cure them of that thinking.

Weel, for what it's worth, I think the girl with the white trainers looks pretty ridiculous in them - it's just an ugly look, IMO.

But that older guy in the bright purple jacket really should be arrested!

The older man is wearing a PINK raincoat, St. Cirq, not purple. Leave him alone; he has to do something provacative since all his hair is falling out.

Better dead than bald.

Thin, but not on top.

No, I'm UNhappy now, being reminded of all those beautiful stiletto heels I can no longer wear. (sob!)

Sorry, Thin dear, but I think the fact his raincoat is so violently pink draws your eye right to that bald head (if only to get away from the coat)!

And I do love the cardi dress, but I'm not loving the look of the shoe boots with skirts and dresses. I think it does something odd and not totally flattering to the line of the leg.

And I just realized that chick with the helmet and motorized bike in Paris could be my twin sister, though I'd never have the moxie to bike around Paris!

Oh my gosh - this will so freak out the people who ask "what should I wear in Paris..."

Well, at least it gives them a nice range of fashions to work with!
