Assumption: you mean Mousetrap at St Martin's theatre in London. <BR> <BR>We went to box office (Aug 23, day of the show) and bought 4 tickets front and center. The theater was 80% full. A friend who tagged with us later bought a single at 7:55pm in row F on the aisle.

Saw the play several years ago, got tickets on the same day, and quite frankly was disappointed. <BR> <BR>Very dated. <BR> <BR>Tom

Tickets aren't available at the half-price booth. I got them at the box office day of the show. <BR> <BR>If you love Agatha Christie or English murder mysteries, you'll love the show. I saw it in June and thought it was great. It's a classic.

It is the policy of the Mousetrap producers to not provide tickets via the 1/2 price booth. But tickets are almost always available at the box office on the day of performance. Possibly not if there are large theatre parties booked, but if you want to see it you will be able to. (There are many, many more worthwhile plays running in London.)

I've never seen it but it gets a great review in Time Out London and they are usually pretty critical.

sorry - hit POST before I was done. <BR> <BR>The mousetrap is now more of an institution than a play. It is a fun night out IF you accept it is not great theatre. <BR> <BR>But with Judi Dench, Jon. Pryce, Lynn Redgrave, etc. and wonderful plays/musicals all playing, why spend the evening with 600 other tourists watching the Mousetrap?

Since you asked . . . <BR> <BR>No, I didn't like Mousetrap at all. Too, too touristy, dated, hacky. Wished I could have seen something else.

We saw Mousetrap last November and loved it. It IS old fashioned, but then it's 50 years old. Somehow I can't help but believe that a play that has been running continuously for over 50 years must have SOME merits to a lot of people. If not, it would have fallen by the wayside long ago. Plays that aren't good simply don't last that long. And being the longest continuously running play in the world says a lot for its quality. (But then, I'm an Agatha Christie nut and just love British mysteries, in any form! )

Didn't see Mouse Trap but I did see Blood Brothers. This is a musical/drama that was fantastic. It's been running for 13 years and gets better all the time. It's got laughter and tears throughout. Even the actors were crying at the end. I was leary of seeing it because the plot sounded so dramatic, but it has such good music and the story and the actors were so good that I even have the CD. Didn't know anyone that was with my tour (of 40) who didn't like it.
