Are there tatoo parlours in Italy?
I may have decided to get a tatoo to commemorate my first trip to Europe. My friends say that they have never seen any places to get one, have you?
|
A tatoo requires care and followup, and should really be performed in your hometown to make this easier. Not to mention it being easier to scope out the facility and ensure they are using the most hygenic methods.
|
...but maybe you could choose your 'flash' at a shop in Italy, or choose an Italian symbol of some kind, then have the procedure done at home.
|
travelnut, I thought I would get a little Colosseum on my butt.
|
Sure there are tatoo parlours in Italy. Tatoos are called in italian TATUAGGI (tatoo-ah-dgee).
|
then shouldn't you have named yourself "cheeky"..?hahahaha....
(sorry). I've thought about getting a 'fleur-de-lys' on my ankle ... that's as far as it went, however. |
OUCH...
I couldn't sit in a cafe and have wine. |
TATUAGGI - thanks!
Not on the sitting part on the upper part although you do raise a good point. I couldn't think of another symbol for Italy. |
Gondola
Leaning tower of Pisa Cup of cappucino Statue of David . . . . |
Berlusconi's face.
|
olive branch
cluster of grapes wine bottle a combination of the above a gladiator :D |
If I weren't chicken I would get a wine glass on my bum.

Just think, after many trips abroad your butt can look like a suitcase with travel stickers all over it. :-D
|
Yes my rear end could start of plenty of travel conversations after a few trips.
Thank you so much Batuffolina! I will look these up and I hope I will have the nerve when the time comes. How do you say ouch in Italian? |
I can see it now: "Here, let me show you my scrapbook..."
|
Get the leaning tower, then as you age, it'll straighten back up...!
|
Please don't disfigure yourself with a trashy tatoo. Years later you will regret it. You close so many doors when you display a tatoo.
|
hansikday I think her question was WHERE to get a tattoo, not IF. I received my first (of 3) tattoos at age 40 and love it! Each one has a special meaning/event to me and I do not consider them trashy or a hinderance to my life. I am an executive in business, a volunteer in my community, and no, I don't ride a Harley. Look beyond the stereotypes.
Lisa S |
lisa, the vast majority of people DON'T look beyond the stereotypes. That's just a fact of life.
I guess there are worse things to do during a mid-life crisis so I hope yours bring you hapiness, but a young person should not shaddle themselves to such a negative burden. What might be a cool, fun thing on a young, firm body looks cheap and sad on an older woman in the gym. |
OUCH= AHIA! (pronunced AAH-EEAH, with the tonic accent on the first A).
|
This older woman is a 4th degree black belt Master. My tattoos were not a mid-life crisis but a gift for each level of achievement.
Lisa S |
Well, I still say they look cheap and sad. But at least you can beat people up when they stare too long at you.
