Are there "squats" for toilets in Slovenia

I have never travelled to Eastern Europe before and am going to Slovenia and Croatia this August. Someone from Serbia told me that some of the countries have "squats" in the public restrooms. Does anyone know if there are any in Ljubljana, Postojna or Bled?

well, I'd say yes. I've seen them in Paris and Provence so I'd assume they'd be present in Eastern Europe as well.

Hmmm...so, Keb, you have never actually seen one in Slovenia?

I am not going to say they don't exist anywhere but in 3 years of living here and traveling all over the country, I have never seen one.

Of course, you cross the border into Italy and they are everywhere.

You're right SloJan, I have never been to Slovenia and have never seen one.

They were part of the Austro-Hugarian empire, where these toilets weren't common. "Toilet preferences" ;-) don't change fast.
