Patrick - This card requires you to book through Firstair travel center and it is 25,000 points for domestic and 65,000 points for international. These are coach tickets but I would think you could use miles from your individual ff programs to upgrade to business. There are caps of $400 flight value domestic and $1100 international. Example - You earn 65,000 points on your Firstair card and book a flight through Firstair travel center on Delta to Paris- in addition you join Delta ff program and earn miles for the same flight. So you get to earn airlines miles for your free "points" flight. You just have to read the fine print as there ARE restrictions.

jrchapma - The card you are currently using seems similar to the Firstair Visa. Do you mind telling us what it is?

OK, thanks for the clarification, kybourbon. In my case that wouldn't be nearly so good as my current deal with AA Citibank Aadvantage Card. For example I'd have to use a total of 115,000 miles (65,000 from First plus 50,000 from AA to upgrade to business) for one business ticket to Europe instead of the 90,000 miles it takes now. What's more I couldn't do the two stopovers included that I can do booking the 90,000 mile ticket if I got a coach ticket with First and then tried to upgrade (which would be hard to do, since booking with AA for the whole thing, you can first book the coach tickets on flights that still have upgrades available. There would be no way of even knowing if the upgrades were available by booking a coach ticket with First). What's more I doubt that I could even book the coach reward ticket with First, since I usually stay over 60 or 90 days meaning those international coach tickets would cost more than the allowed $1100.

Not being argumentive here. It must work for some, particularly those who use miles for last minute domestic tickets. It just wouldn't work for me.
