Are there any Eiffel Tower VIEW restaurants?

Hi all,
I've been trying to find (on Google) a restaurant that has a view of the Eiffel tower from the tables but only the actual tower restaurants come up.
Have any of you been to one that has a view of the tower?
Thanks for any help xx

I haven't been there, but les Ombres, in the Quai Branly museum is supposed to very good, and has a great view of the Eiffel tower.

Hi!
Marc that restaurant is astounding but all meat.
I should have made it a bit clearer:
I'll start again.
We are vegetarians (I know) and students, but we are saving up our money, so we don't have to go to a cafe lol but not the most expensive place in PAris.
Being romantic and beautiful with a lovely view is what we're looking for!
Oh and that serves vegy food (yes, yes I know lol)
Robespierre I am on that site right now.
Thank you to you both xx

There's also the Cafe L'Homme at Trocadero -- their outside terrace as a full-on view of the Tower!

Enjoy!

Chez Francis on Place Alma.

Some of the restaurants on top of the hill in Montmatre have a view of it although fairly distant. We went there the year it started sparkling on the hour - DH didn't know about this so we went up to Montmartre on his birthday & I just looked around until I found a restaurant with a view, which looked OK menu-wise. I'm afraid I can't remember the name of the one we went to but it wasn't difficult to find one.

In case you are looking for alternatives...you could picnic on the Champs de Mars by the ET.

I second Chez Francis - you can also sit outside there on a nice evening.

Here's a photo of the terrace where I sat. I framed my menu

I second Chez Francis - well located and decent food. We had dinner and the view was spectacular. Not all tables have full view, though.

Another vote for Chez Francis - ate there again Wednesday night.

This won't help you, but...my friend's family's apartment on the Right Bank. ;)

As mentioned earlier, the Cafe L'Homme at Trocadero is just across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower.

Here is a photo I took from our table at that restaurant in May 2006. I'd say it qualifies as a full view of the tower. It was a terrific spot!

You can have a drink at the bar at the top of the Tour Marparnasse and see the Tour lit up. Expensive but really cool.

luvparee and dwzemens,

Wow! That photo is amazing - how is the food at this cafe? It seemed like an excellant place to take in the view - too bad I didn't know about it on my last trip!

Anna1013,

We did not eat at the restaurant, just sat for a couple hours and enjoyed a perfect late afternoon in May. A few glasses of wine, a terrific view, wonderful weather - my wife and I could not have asked for anyting else.

The restaurant looked very upscale and the service was very good, for what that is worth.

Anna1013 Jul 13th, 2007 07:54 PM

dwzemens,

Thanks! Do you know if the food was pricey? May...we were probably there at the same time - I'll be putting this on my list for next time :)

dwzemens Jul 14th, 2007 02:34 AM

Anna1013,

I don't recall the food prices, but I am certain that in the location it was, along with the upscale appearance and very keen service, that it must have been quite expensive.

But it would be worth it!

luvparee Jul 14th, 2007 06:45 AM

Frankly, I can't really remember what my bill was, but I'm thinking about E55. Not cheap, but the view is worth every penny! We chose off their prix fix menu -- not ala carte. That would also have included a kir royale before dinner, wine with dinner, and coffee afterward. The food was wonderful!

Enjoy!
