Are the Thalys train tickets really refundable ?
 

Hello everyone! i am planning our Amsterdam trip with my GF, and i want to buy thalys train tickets in advance (Paris-Amsterdam) one way MAY 10 morning, it's 74 euro now.
My question is - if i buy the tickets and my schengen visa gets rejected... will i get my money back? and how long will it take to get a refund? please help.
I looked on the website and said if it's 7 days prior the travel date it's refundable. is that true? thank you.

I did what you did - looked at the website: https://www.thalys.com/be/en/info-se...les-conditions. As with all modes of transport, the more you pay, the easier it is to get a refund. If you are really worried, get a premium ticket as you can cancel up till the last hour beforehand. Usually first class is not all that expensive by rail and it might give you some peace of mind. Sorry, I don't know about how long it takes to get a refund, I've never had to cancel on the Thalys before (although I have travelled first class on it from Cologne to Brussels - you get a hot lunch brought to your seat. Totally worth it!).

You can always contact their customer service if you are concerned at the duration before you get your money back (bottom of the page I linked to).

Thank you for your help I appreciate it )) I will be able to cancel the tickets before 7 days off the travel and it says on the website that it's refundable.
