Are my 2013 Paris metro/bus tickets still good?
 

We purchased a carnet of tickets in 2013 and did not use them. Can I use them when we'll be in Paris this coming October? I realize that I can insert them in the Metro turnstile & I'll find out immediately if they are valid, and if not I can go to the "window" and get new ones. However, we rarely use the Metro - we prefer buses. It is a little more complicated & time consuming if we get on a bus & our tickets don't work.

I am topping this as we also have unearthed several t+ tickets that I am pretty sure are unused. They have a series of numbers in black ink on the back -- (i.e. 67939814 25-- there are 4 with that number and 9 with another similar number, all the same. )

There is no date stamp on front or back. I am assuming these are unused as well??

Those numbers are the batch numbers, referring to when and where they were purchased. Unless you see any other numbers on the tickets, they are most probably unused.

As others have mentioned, tickets often become scratched or de-magnetized, so might require replacement at the ticket window, if they don't work.

Thanks all!!! My wife "hid" them away safely so they would not get de-magnetized or scratched. Unfortunately, she forgot where she hid them so we couldn't use them in 2014. She found them last week when she was "rummaging" around.
