Well I can do up to 3 weeks nicely in a 22" (even though our favorite overpacker above can't imagine this).

For Mari4~ I'm not sure why you're having trouble finding them. Mine was on sale for $50 at a JC Pennys store a a few years back. Oh, since I haven't luggage shopped recently maybe that's it - because of the new stricter carryon limits that manufacturers have taken the 22" down to a 20" as a standard size?

M-Kingdom, we were our clothes one day, and the next day turn it inside out, this way we can pack only 1/2 of what we need (sarcasm)

Turning your sarcasm into fact - even if I was to cut down by half by turning clothes inside out I still couldn't manage. Besides, I hate labels showing.

Oh I don't even bother reversing my clothes - although that is a brilliant idea. I just wear it over & over & over again. Works out beautifully!

Let's see, for my 7 days in London I had the largest 33" suitcase, with some 10 pairs of various footwear (no sneakers) AND a packed-to-the-gills garment bag-the suitcase weighed around 63 pounds before I left, and 70 when I came back-I felt I had enough with me with that.

Oh it was you! Well, that is ok, since your advice is obviously based on something that my grandmother might say, if she were a shop girl...in the 50's .

Saw I ROBOT today- not one bit of color in the whole movie-Everyone word grey and black or just black.
They looked good LOL (says the NYCgirl in me)

In the summer I would wear black and white and in winter I would wear black and winter white.

Why not black and ecru?

Would beige and ebony be acceptable?

(If not, please don't tell Gucci...)

Bashful, J.Jill (catalog or on-line) has a great black skirt that won't be a mess when you take it out o fyour suitcase, it's lightweight, and they offer tall sizes.

Whatever you wear, be sure you let someone else pack it for you!
