Are airfares going down???

About to book nonstop Boston/Paris/Boston for September 1. AA and Delta/AF run over $1200; there's some rumor that airfares are going down a bit. Anyone heard anything about this?
Thanks,
Jess

There are always rumors !

I did notice however, when checking for a November flight to London that the price had come down about $100.00 in the last week.I'm holding off and hoping

Although you might find some isolated instances of some lower fares, IMO I wouldn't count on it between now and early Sept. After that, airlines often offer fall sales, but who knows... I'd certainly keep checking. I've been looking at fares from IAH - ARN for several weeks (for Aug) and they have consistently been in the $900-$1,000 range.

I had a hold on a flight from NY to London and it went from $921 to 800 overnight. Good luck! Try farechase.com

Just got my Travelzoo Top 20 email and British Airways has a deal to London starting at $359 One Way Boston-London May 28-Sept. 5, $256 One Way Sept. 6-Oct. 24. Adding in all fees, it should be much less than $1k.

Not much use that side of the pond but both Ryanair & Easyjet are having major seat sales at the moment
