Archipelago tour?
Hello - We are a family of four (daughters 21 and almost 18) traveling to Stockholm for a week in June. I've read that we should tour the archipelago, but not sure the best way to do so. We plan on buying the SL pass and I know some ferries are included in that. It it enough to "tour" the archipelago by taking the ferries around from place to place or do you recommend an organized tour through Stromma?
While you're here.......how early do we need to book museums and attractions like the Vasa and Skansen? Thanks for the help |
I just got on a ferry for a lovely ride of about 3 hours, IIRC. I didn't feel the need for a tour, but then I don't generally take tours. YMMV.
Stockholm is beautiful - enjoy! |
Thanks for the reassurance. That's what I was thinking too.

often there are 2 services to a given stop: one a fast commuter service and a slower service, often with historical ferries. You can just turn up and buy a ticket on the day. If you' re strapped for time, you can always take the little ferry to Nacka Strand and have lunch at the Yacht Club. Also Nacka Strand is a start up hub and there are many lunch places about. |
Cycle it
