Archeological Tours- Roman Ruins

Hello all~

Has anyone had any pleasant experiences of private archeological tours of the ruins- Forum, Palentine Hill, etc? When I was in Rome several years back, I had the good chance to bump into an American studying for his PhD in archeology, and received an amazing impromptu tour..I am imagining I won't have this same luck twice! I am hoping for privite/semi-private without spending over 150 eur. Ideas?

Thank you!

No

but the Italian government has just relaxed the previous cumbersome requirements to lead tours thru these places so maybe there will be more and more
